Enrolment Process
Enrolments for 2027 (day students) are now open and welcome.
Currently Otago Boys’ High School does not have a zone. This means students living in any area of Dunedin, or further afield, can attend our school.
Otago Boys’ High School invites students to complete the online enrolment form and submit it to the school.
Day Boys
2027 Year 9 Day boy enrolments close on Friday 28 August 2026.
Enrolment Form – Online (preferred method)
Following receipt of the enrolment form families are contacted and invited to meet with the Rector (usually held in Term 3 for day boys). This is an opportune time to discuss subjects, uniform, co-curricular activities and your son’s interests. Tours of the school are also offered.
If a printed enrolment form is required copies can be obtained from the school office.

Boarding
Applications for Year 9 2027 boarders are now open and need to be received by Sunday 14 June 2026.
Enrolment interviews for prospective Year 9 students take place during term 1 and 2 in the year prior to entry (i.e. when the student is in Year 8). A Hostel Open Day is held during term 2 each year for prospective families to meet the Director of Boarding and have a tour of the hostel.

Country Visits 2026
Parents of prospective boarding students interested in boarding from 2028 onwards are warmly invited to attend country visits to meet with the Rector and Director of Boarding. You are encouraged to bring your son with you to the presentations.
