All fees are in NZD and Include Goods and Services Tax (GST). 

1. Tuition Fee

Covers normal school tuition, access to the School library, English as a Second Language Classes and essential stationery.

The tuition fee may change from year to year during a student's enrolment. If a student's enrolment extends to subsequent calendar year periods students will pay the applicable fee for the portion of the calendar year for which they are enrolled.

2. Homestay Fee

Paid for 46 weeks approximately for a full year

No refund if student voluntarily goes away during the term breaks or other holiday periods.

The homestay fee will change from year to year during a student's occupancy. If a student's occupancy extends to subsequent calendar years they will pay the applicable fee for the portion of occupancy in that calendar year(s).

3. Boarding House

Boarding is usually only available for multi-year occupancy.

The boarding fee covers all periods of the year except term breaks and holiday breaks.

The homestay fee for boarding students covers stays in the boarding house or homestay during break periods and holidays. If a student returns home for a term break the homestay fee will be refunded.

The boarding fee will change from year to year during a student's occupancy. If a student's occupancy extends to subsequent calendar years they will pay the applicable fee for the portion of occupancy in that calendar year(s).

4. School Related Expenses (Unused funds are refunded)

  • Uniform (can be up to $700 for a new uniform)
  • Class trips
  • Sport
  • Cultural activities including music lessons
  • Textbooks
  • Extra class materials (Wood/Metal Technology, Food and Nutrition, Art etc)
  • NCEA and Scholarship Examination fees
  • Boarding house activities
  • Student visa renewal (if done through the School)
  • Doctor Visits (usually reclaimed on insurance)

5. Outdoor Education

Additional charges will apply for senior students taking Outdoor Education as a subject to cover the cost of equipment and activities. This may be approximately NZ$1,200 for one year of study.

6. Insurance

The New Zealand Government requires all International Students to have travel and medical insurance. 

We use Uni-Care NZ Student Plan 

Costs may vary depending on length of stay. 

7. Personal Expenses

The student will be expected to pay from his personal allowance for any taxis, bus fares, cell phones and data plans, travel, personal clothing, holiday activities and additional tutors.

8. Refund

Refund policies are detailed in the Application Form and Contract of Enrolment. 

9. Fee Protection

The school is required to ensure that all international student funds are protected in the event that:

  • The school is unable to continue to offer tuition to international students
  • The student withdraws from study
  • The student is required to return home
  • The student transfers to another educational institution.

Funds paid by international students are held in a separate account for this purpose.
