Exploring Printmaking in Year 11 Art
Year 11 Art students have spent this term learning a variety of printmaking methods based on the work of artist Vanesa Wairata Edwards.
They began with line drawings and a drypoint etching print. Students then developed background patterns, which were cut from recycled milk Tetra Pak containers. They also printed the silhouette from their etching, creating a multi-layered print for their art folio.
It was pleasing to see them experiment and enjoy the discoveries they made throughout this unit of work. The prints pictured are only a sample of their great achievements.
