Alex Excels at Highland Dancing Nationals
Year 13 student Alex Glover has achieved outstanding success at the recent New Zealand Highland Dancing National Championships held in Blenheim during the school holidays.
Competing in a strong Under 18 field of 28 dancers, Alex delivered an excellent series of performances, placing in seven of the ten dances. His best results included three 2nd placings, a 6th, a 7th, and two 8th placings, earning him an impressive 5th overall ranking in the Under 18 age group in New Zealand.
To round off an exceptional weekend, Alex also auditioned for The New Zealand Dance Company and was successful in securing a place. This is a fantastic achievement and provides an exciting opportunity for Alex to continue developing his talent at the highest level.
