Two days of shooting and the Taieri Shield Challenge
Over the weekend, everybody performed well. Many boys secured high scores and made final shoot-offs.
These results were hard-fought in challenging conditions, with strong winds in Wanaka and rain at Galloway.
Saturday – Wanaka Intercollegiate

Otago DTL Taieri Shield Team: Dustin, Tom and Leo, together with two students from John McGlashan, won against the Southland Team.
Dustin and Tom both qualified for the Otago DTL and Skeet teams but chose to shoot DTL. Students shot triples in this event, with Tom scoring 24/25 and Dustin 19/25.
Two weeks remain for students to train for the South Island and New Zealand Secondary School Clay Target DTL and Skeet Championships in Christchurch. Representing Otago Boys' High School in DTL are Dustin Young, Charlie Hore, Tom Collie, Konrad Todd, Leo Burgess and Lucas Brensell. Dustin and Konrad, together with Charlie and Tom, will compete in two-man teams in Skeet.
We welcome Old Boys and current OBHS students in Christchurch over this period to come along as spectators and support the boys.
