Volcanoes in Year 12 Earth & Space Science!
Our Year 12 Earth & Space Science students have been putting their geological knowledge into practice as they create posters exploring volcanoes from across New Zealand.
Students have been researching the characteristics of different volcanoes, including their magma composition, tectonic setting, eruption style, volcanic features and associated hazards. They have then used this information to explain why different volcanoes behave in different ways.
It’s been great to see students developing their scientific understanding while getting creative with how they communicate their ideas. 🪨🌏
