Term 4 Summer Sports Registrations
Term 4 Summer Sports Registrations are now open to register to play sport for Otago Boys' High School.

Sport is an important addition to the curriculum at Otago Boys' High School. Representing the 'Hoops' is special. So that sport runs well and everyone, coaches, managers participants and supporters gets the best experience there are some rules regarding sport that caregivers and students need to be aware of.
1. When you are representing the school for sport, you are under the same rules and conditions that you are in school. This includes all overnight trips.
2. Sport is self-funded. Every effort is made to access sponsorship, but there is an enforced 'no pay, no play' policy.
3. It is recommended that parents and caregivers, who experience difficulty with payments contact the school as soon as possible to arrange a payment plan.
4. Once you are registered for a team, you are committed to the full season. Training and games should be missed, only in exceptional circumstances.
5. It is not acceptable to be absent from school, but then represent the school in sport.
6. You cannot attend any trial without being registered.
7. No Payment for Sports Registration = No Play
Be careful how many sports you allow the student to play. Are there clashes with training's and games. It is very frustrating for coaches and managers to have students unavailable and this can happen when there are clashes. Choices will need to be made.
Otago Boys' charges a one off Sports Levy fee of $55.00. This contributes towards the significant running costs that the school has to cover to administer sports for all boys.
This will be charged when your son chooses his first sport of the year and is only charged annually.
Registration will close on Sunday 30th August & full payment needs to be paid by Monday 12th October 2026.

Internet Banking - ANZ 06-0901-0391539-00. You must reference: student ID number and each individual sport he is registering for (eg, futsal).
Payment at school office.
Rowing has a different bank account from the school account. This will be emailed to parents once Rowing registrations close along with other rowing information.
Further information will come home once registrations have closed.
All costs listed do not include tournaments or major events that your child may attend, these will be additional.
