Te Whatu Ora Southern / Pasifika Mapu o le Kaha’u 2026
This programme was an exciting opportunity for students interested in Pasifika health to visit the hospital and be guided around the departments by Pasifika health professionals.
We were given time to explore the Simulation Lab, where our students were shown real-life simulation exercises by Pasifika health professionals. We also looked into the neonatal care units, broken bones departments, working operating theatres, and the latest in radiography.
We hope these students will be the doctors and health professionals looking after us and our community in the future!
