Dunedin Intercollegiate Clay Target
In favourable weather conditions for once, it was great to have eight of our students step up to compete at the Dunedin Intercollegiate last Sunday.
We appreciated Jimmy Todd, Nelson Young, Clive Brensell, and Greg King stepping up to supervise the boys on the traps. Thank you also to Greg King for manning the BBQ. Nelson Young was not completely off the hook, as McGlashan needed some sausages cooked too. Kris and Tomie were also present to support the boys.
It was great to have Jack Nowell and Daniel King compete in their first-ever competition on familiar training grounds.
Squad One
Dustin Young, Tom Collie, Konrad Todd, Charlie Hore, and Jack Scurr
Squad Two
Lucas Brensell, Jack Nowell, Daniel King, and Alex McLeod from Blue Mountain College
Results were as follows:
Dustin Young – First High Overall Skeet
Charlie Hore – First Senior Single Barrel
Tom Collie – Third Senior Single Barrel
Konrad Todd – Junior DTL High Gun, First Junior Points Score, Second Junior Skeet, First Junior Single Rise, and Second Junior Single Barrel (it was definitely Konrad's day!)
Thank you to everyone who sent food or contributed towards their son's participation in this enjoyable opportunity. Boys, be proud of a great day out, and a big shout-out to you all for helping set up at the club.
