Strong Results at Caversham Cross Country Relay

Lucky to have another beautiful autumn day for this year’s Caversham Cross Country Relay.

Strong Results at Caversham Cross Country Relay

This was always going to be a challenging run, with a headwind in the first half of the course and a number of runners unavailable due to injury, sickness, and assessments.

We had a Year 9 team of Ethan Kaina (running twice), Fletcher Webster, and Zian Kruger; a Year 10 team of Jonty Langley, Connor Horne, Fergus Lloyd, and Tamati Matthews; and a senior team of William Bolter, Mohit Singh, Sam Hobbs, and Henry Hodgson.

All the teams performed very well, with the Year 9s picking up 2nd place in the junior event and the seniors picking up 2nd place in the senior race.

William Bolter ran very well in his first competitive run of the year, with Sam Hobbs performing equally well in his leg, both recording the fastest times in their respective legs.

For the juniors, Zian Kruger was the standout runner, with a very respectable time of 6:56 over what is supposed to be a 2km course.

See you all next week for Milton.
