In Loving Memory

As term 3 comes to an end we would like to take this time to also reflect on the loss of a life that has been strongly connected to School House Hostel for the past nine years. Yuri, an amazing four legged companion of many of our hostel boys experiences over the last decade, sadly passed away in lockdown. More importantly she was a best friend to Senior Housemaster Pita Sinamoni and his fiance Mary. Our boys were all informed the night they returned from lockdown and they have been very supportive to Pita and each other over this period. Yuri attended many activities alongside Pita and our boys and gave added support wherever she went and always wanted to make sure everyone was safe. She would often be onsite and be happy to share a cuddle with our boys which was always appreciated by them. We acknowledge the joy and comfort she has given School House hostel and our boys and we will miss her. Thank you Yuri and Happy Birthday for today 6th October.

Man of the Week

Congratulations to Year 13 Prefect, and Deputy Head of House, Jak Stevenson, who captained the 1st XI Football team to the championship title and played exceptionally well despite injuries. Jak has also been outstanding in supporting staff in the hostel and supporting the operational aspect of School House. A great role model and example for the next generation of leaders to follow. Well done Jak.

Prefects Vs Staff Football Match

Great way to end the term with a fun Prefects vs Staff Football Match.  Played in good spirits with five of our hostel prefects who are also school prefects participating alongside a number of our hostel staff.  A one all draw was a fair result with the Prefects holding onto the trophy for another year since they were the current holders.
