On Thursday 16th May there will be an opportunity for parents to attend an NCEA information evening at school. This will be your opportunity to find out how it works, how your son earns credits for Achievement Standards and how you can help him reach his goals. Watch this space for venue and time.

Ngā Manu Kōrero national secondary school speech contests
The Ngā Manu Kōrero national secondary school speech contests incorporating the Korimako and Sir Turi Carroll competitions for Māori pupils speaking in English and the Pei Te Hurinui Jones and Te Räwhiti Ihaka competitions for all pupils speaking in Māori, are sponsored by the New Zealand Post Primary Teachers' Association / Te Wehengarua (PPTA). The Otago/Southland competition will be held in Dunedin and hosted by OBHS on June 7th. The contests are intended to encourage the development of skills and confidence of Mäori students in spoken English and Mäori.
