In 2011, for Level 1 students, many Achievement Standards outside of their natural home of English/Te Reo Maori and Maths will count towards Literacy and Numeracy. 2011 saw some big changes in the Level 1 Achievement Standards and NCEA Qualification, one of which was raising the bar for the minimum number of literacy and numeracy credits.  Students have to attain at least 80 credits in total in order to pass NCEA Level 1, within which there must be a minimum 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy credits.  The spreadsheet shows the Achievment Standards, by subject, that are offered at Otago Boys' High School that count towards Literacy and/or Numeracy.  Literacy/numeracy information

A document outlining the OBHS NCEA Policy is available at: Moderation Policy. This document outlines the procedures the school undertakes to ensure fairness in the assessment of students work, the recording of information, re-assessment opportunities and the appeal procedures.

Information that was presented to parents at the recent NCEA Information Evening can be found at NCEA Information Evening and information specific to Year 13 students is at: NCEA Year 13. Information relevant to Level 2 can be found at NCEA Year 12
